Privacy
StudyByteLearn helps you study without an account. The app does not include analytics, advertising trackers or third-party tracking scripts.
Your study data is stored in this browser, not synced between devices. Clearing site data may erase it.
What stays in your browser
Private study sets, imported files that you choose to save, answer history, mastery and display preferences are stored using browser localStorage. Importing and answering questions do not upload your private material or progress to GitHub or a study database.
A different browser or device has its own separate library. Browser private mode, blocked storage, storage limits or clearing site data can prevent saving or erase local data. The app shows storage errors when it detects them.
Backups and clearing data
Use Progress & backups to download a JSON backup before clearing site data or moving your library. A backup may contain your private notes and results; keep that file somewhere you control. Restoring a backup asks before replacing your current local library and progress.
You can delete private sets in the app. To remove all saved site data, use your browser’s site-storage settings. Any backup files you downloaded remain until you delete them yourself.
If a compatible Open SourcED library already exists on this origin, the app copies it into private study sets and retains the original data for recovery and backup. It does not publish that material.
Public courses and the static host
Public course material is published with the site as reviewed files in its GitHub repository. Loading the site downloads those public files; your private sets are not added to the catalog.
The site is intended for static hosting on Cloudflare Pages. Like other web hosts, the hosting provider receives normal web requests and may process connection details such as IP addresses, browser information, request times and errors for operation and security. These are separate from your browser-local study library. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of requests.
Links and optional read-aloud
Microsoft Learn, YouTube, GitHub and MSS Digital links open external sites. Those sites apply their own privacy policies when you visit them; the app does not embed their tracking scripts.
If you choose read-aloud, your browser or operating system handles speech. The available voice and whether speech processing uses a device or a voice service depend on your browser and its settings.
Questions about privacy
Contact MSS Digital through mss-digital.nl if you have a question about this site. Do not include private study files or personal information in feedback.
If the site’s data handling changes, this page should be updated to describe the actual behavior.
